You fine feathered folks may have noticed more keyboardin' in my songs lately. Since getting my shiny new keyboard for Jesus-Christmas (so that all the keys actually work), I've been wrestling mightily with those pesky ivories, trying to get to a place where I can at least plonk out chords reliably, and employ the occasional inversion. Is that so much to ask?
Yes, apparently, if you stubbornly refuse to take lessons because you'd be embarrassed that you're not better than you are. Yes, unpack that madness and tell me if it makes sense.
So it remains to be seen if I ever will get much better, but of course the point, for me, is not to flawlessly execute a Rachmaninoff piece; it's to have fun. Gosh, that was a lot of punctuation in that last sentence.
